Ranger Tournament Aluminum Boats |

What kind of boat was your first? Aluminum, probably. Ranger, the nation’s largest manufacturer of premium fiberglass boats, the company says, knows this. Yet the bells and whistles on fiberglass boats aren’t always available on aluminum, and often aren’t affordable to first-time buyers. Ranger’s Tournament series of aluminum boats, introduced this year, are built to be affordable and durable, “with the Ranger name and the long list of 5-star advantages that come with it,” the company says. The V-hulled powerboats, built in Ranger’s home state of Arkansas, are meant to include features, craftsmanship and attention to detail like Ranger’s fiberglass vessels. Three models of Tournaments are available: a 17-foot 8-inch for largemouth bass fishing, a 17-foot 8-inch meant for multi species or crappies, and an 18-foot 8-inch, handling a larger engine, for largemouths. The boats are designed for an ultra-smooth ride and responsive handling, and come with a wide beam for stability and room. Features can Features can also include a world of storage space for tackle and gear, the company says, drop-in tackle trays, rod storage, including individual tubes and handle-grips to protect and organize, a space for even the longest rods to lay flush, tool storage and much more. Ranger has concurrently introduced another aluminum boat named the Apache series, made to be more versatile, including for both fishing and hunting. For aluminum boats, the days of limited features are over, Ranger says. For more info on both the Tournament series and Apache series, |
