BioEdge

Different scents are sold for fishing.

One is made with this, another smells like that, and so on.

How do you know which will catch?

If the scent is made from real bait, that sounds right.

BioEdge, a scent for fishing, smells and tastes like actual bait, “because it is!” the company says.

BioEdge, available in either a potion or a wand, is made from highly concentrated solutions of oils, pheromones, enzymes, amino acids and natural stimulants, all from natural baits, the company says.

That makes fish bite, and hold on longer to boot, it says.

No artificial ingredients are used.

The potions come in a 2-ounce squirt bottle and can be convenient to use on cut baits and tackle like hair, feathers and soft-plastic lures.

The wands, like a glue stick, can be convenient on tackle like metal lures, hard-plastic lures, sinkers and leaders.

Made to be fished in either saltwater or fresh, the potions and wands come in many different scents.

For saltwater, scents include bunker, sandworm, bloodworm, eel, squid, herring, mackerel, crab, clam and shrimp.

For freshwater, they include nightcrawler, crayfish, frog, smelt, shiner, minnow, larva and salmon egg.

More scents are being developed.

BioEdge is available at many tackle shops, Bass Pro, Cabela’s and most recently Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Seems the word is getting out.

The reason?

Maybe there’s nothing like the real thing.
