Micro Plus DVR

Sonar or fish-finders
were the first electronics
used for ice fishing.

Then underwater
digital cameras
became popular.

Could there be a better
way to locate fish than
to actually see them?

Yes. The camera
could be smaller.

Aqua-Vu’s Micro Plus DVR is the size of a smart phone,
fitting in a pocket.

It works great for ice fishing, the company says.

The first version, the Micro, introduced some time ago,
showed underwater video live.

The second, the Micro Plus, could output the video.

The latest, the Micro Plus DVR, features Digital Video Recording, with an 8-gigabyte internal memory card, good for about 6 hours of recording.

The actual camera is about the size of a quarter, and is dropped to the depths on a 50-foot cable that’s included.

The video is seen on a 3-1/2-inch digital screen, and can also be uploaded to a computer.

The camera can also be handy above-water, like to look into tight spaces.

What’s next in ice-fishing electronics?

We can’t imagine.

But Aqua-Vu’s Micro Plus DVR is one of the latest in the sport.
