3-TAND Sand Spikes

Rob Koelewyn, founder of Van Staal and Zee BaaS reels, has introduced these sand spikes.

Like those reels, the spikes, for holding rods, are made to be the best.

Sand spikes are usually clumsy to carry.

But 3-TAND’s spikes fold in half, made to be easy to carry.

They can be stowed in a nylon bag -- included with the spikes -- that comes with a belt loop and a drain hole.

The spikes, available in two lengths, are made from aluminum and stainless steel to be light but strong.

Both lengths themselves are adjustable in length by inserting a rod through holes in the sides.

Features also include a concave bottom, like a pipe that’s split in half, shown in the photo.

That penetrates sand easier than the usual PVC spikes do.

The 3-TAND spikes can also be used at other locations, like wedged between rocks, or along river banks, lake shores and saltwater flats.
