ShowDown Ice Troller Fish Finder

Ice-fishing season can last
a few weeks to a few months
in the Northeast.

Yet the angling can require specialized equipment that
only diehard ice hounds are
willing to afford.

So if the equipment can be
used during other seasons,
that's all the better, especially
for casual ice anglers or newbies.

The ShowDown Ice Troller,
from MarCum Technologies,
is a portable fish-finder built
for both ice fishing and kayaks.

The hand-sized fish finder – with 4,000 watts of power,
and a 5-inch-tall vertical display – delivers performance like a full-sized,
the company says.

A Perfomance Pack can be purchased to convert the handheld to a stationary
fish finder.

The Ice Troller is built to show the fish
and the lure in a 20-degree water column down to 120 feet.

Features include 2-inch target separation, auto depth, 25-Level Sensitivity and
10-Level Interference Rejection.

It can run for 20 hours on six AA batteries,
the company says.

Or it can be converted to 12-volt power
with the purchase of a Performance Pack, making it a stationary fish finder in a soft
pack that includes a battery charger and
other features.

The Ice Troller, costing $199.99,
is great for running and gunning
on the ice, the company says.

It can also be great for when the ice turns to liquid: kayak time.
