2025 Impact Sport

Aluminum boats have advantages.

Low cost is one.

They also have disadvantages, but so do fiberglass boats and wood boats.

But if you’re looking for an aluminum boat, a Lund is one of the most well-known.

Here’s a look at the 2025 Impact Sport, Lund's newest.

The 2025 is the largest in Lund’s line of Impact boats.

In fact, this 20-foot 2-incher, with an 8-foot beam, is one of only a few boats as large as 20 feet that Lund makes.

That’s because the company’s vessels are mostly intended for freshwater.

But Lund acknowledges that large lakes and reservoirs demand a larger boat.

So it built the 2025 Impact Sport to handle stronger winds, rougher seas, farther distances and other conditions on big waters.

The Impact line, as the name suggests, is built for durability.

But it’s also intended for good handling and “on-deck features,” the company says.

In other words, the deck isn’t just empty hull.

Instead, the inside of the boat features rod center storage, dual side rod lockers, carpeting, seating, a helm, windshields, two livewells, a bow casting platform, and so on.

Lund offers 15 different lines of aluminum boats, from small models, with few features, to larger, with bells and whistles.

The company also offers an aluminum, flat-bottomed Jon boat and several fiberglass boats.

The 2025 Impact is rated for engines from 135 to 200 h.p.

It can accommodate up to six passengers.

For an aluminum, it’s a lot of boat!

With a lot of features.

“The only thing this boat won’t Impact is your check book,” Lund says.
