Humminbird 360 Imaging |

First, there was sonar, showing underneath waters, directly below the boat. Now, there’s 360. Humminbird’s 360 Imaging sweeps every direction, showing underneath waters in a circle or 360 degrees. All around the boat. It can show the bottom 150 feet away in every direction. One advantage is that anglers can mark fish without moving over them, for stealth. A cursor can be used to mark a spot like fish beds ahead of the boat or in any direction away, unlike traditional sonar that can only mark a waypoint below the vessel. The sweep area can be adjusted from 10 degrees to 360 degrees. Maybe you only want to read the bottom ahead of the boat, for instance. Adjusting the sweep area smaller can maximize detail and create faster returns. Lower beam speeds, scanning slower and more thoroughly, deliver better-quality images, and higher speeds produce faster refresh rates. The 360 Imaging can be used in several Humminbird fish finders, and a software update is available to use it in some older units. Now that you know what 360 can do, you might want to narrow your heading straight to Humminbird to get the technology. For more info, visit the Humminbird 360 Imaging Web page. |
