Evolve Baits

No new fishing lures are ever invented, some say. Only new versions are. Stands to reason that new versions must be improvements.

Maybe that’s where the company Evolve gets its name.

Its lures, both soft baits and hard, are improvements over old versions. They’re evolved.

“We make best-in-class products that work,” the company says.

The lures are made with the finest construction, materials and attention
to detail, Evolve says.

The company has been developing a cult following since early 2011,
it says, and the word is starting to spread.

Evolve’s soft lures include names like Helgrashad, Kompak Kraw and Shot Goby Leech.

Its hard lures include different frogs and a salamander.

Some examples that anglers seem particularly interested in:

Species Frog

A hard lure,
the Species Frog
is a top-water with
perfect size and profile, Evolve says.

The look and colorings
are made to be realistic.

Rubber leggings and internal rattles are included for attraction.

The frog’s dura-resin body is meant to last, even against toothy fish, and twin weed guards on the hooks allow it to be fished along lay-downs and vegetation.

The Species Frog, available in several colors, is meant to be fished like a soft jerk bait.

The lure “will spit and jump, and sink back down on the pause, just like a fleeing frog in the wild,” the company says.

VibraGrub

A soft lure, the VibraGrub features appendages on both sides of the body that flutter and undulate “with a mind of their own,” Evolve says.

It’s unlike any soft
bait on the market, and looks “impossibly alive underwater,” the company says.

The VibraGrub, available in several colors, can be fished in a number
of ways.

Those include on a skirtless jig head, as a jig trailer, on a weighed
swim-bait hook, Texas-rigged, Carolina-rigged, drop-shot rigged
and wacky rigged.

Fluid Worm

Another soft lure,
the Fluid Worm
“is finesse fishing perfection,”
Evolve says.

Built with super-soft
yet durable plastic,
the company says,
the worm features
a streamlined design meant to allow it to move and pulse with even
the slightest rod twitches.

With a tapered "pin tail" and a subtle scale pattern, the worm, available in several colors, features a proprietary scent.

The scent can turn a hesitating bite into a full-out engulfing, Evolve says.

The Fluid Worm can be fished on a wacky rig, a drop-shot rig or
a split-shot rig.
