Accurate
TwinSpin Reel

Hook a powerful fish
like a tuna your first
time, and suddenly
you understand that
the quality of a reel’s drag matters.

Either an erratic drag,
or one that can’t
be finely adjusted,
can cause the fish
to break off the line,
sooner than you can scream, “Fish on!”

Fish off!

You know?

So this is why
this reel matters.

Accurate’s
TwinSpin Reel is the
first-ever twin-drag spinning reel, the company says.

Imagine a car that can only be braked on wheels on one side,
Accurate says.

Not only will the car veer into a skid, but the one-sided braking will cause an imbalance in moving parts, erratic pressures, and premature wearing out of braking materials, it says.

Most spinning reels use a single
drag on one side of the spool.

The TwinSpin uses double drags,
one on each side of the spool.

That creates stronger, smoother drag, reduces heat by half, allows less pressure to be applied to each side
of the spool, and allows precise drag settings, with extremely little drag fluctuation, Accurate says.

The reel is available in five sizes for 20- to 50-pound mono or
50- to 130-pound Spectra.

The TwinSpin 30, for 30-pound mono or 80-pound Spectra,
is available in two gear ratios: 6-to-1 and 4-to-1.

The 6-to-1 lays 50 inches of line on the reel with one turn of the handle.

Also, to help wrench-in
that powerful fish, all the
reels feature a “power
handle” and a rugged bail.

A pre-set knob (shown at left)
on the front of the spool allows
drag setting to be retained even
when changing spools.

Circular, machined holes around the spool help reduce heat build-up,
and trim the reel’s weight.

Fish on!

Fish landed!
