Airwave Rods

If a rod is built to cut down on fatigue, that’s good.

Tsunami’s Airwave Rods, introduced this year, are built to be light, cutting down on fatigue, but powerful.

That's even better.

The rods, introduced this year, are available in four models:
spin rods, inshore rods, surf rods and, for big game, boat rods.

Airwaves are built with “high-fiber density blanks,”
the company says.

“Unique, high-pressure production techniques,” it says,
make the rods light, resilient and sensitive, for better casting and feel, yet strong.

Other features, like Fuji Concept Alconite Guides on the
inshore rods, braid-proof guides on the surf rods, and either cork or durable, textured vinyl grips, depending on the model, are meant to enhance the lightness, sensitivity and power.

The spin rods come in lengths from 5 to 6 ½ feet for
lines from 2 to 15 pounds.

The inshore rods range from 6 feet 10 inches to 8 feet for
lines from 6 to 30 pounds.

The surf rods vary in length from 7 to 11 feet, and are built
for 10- to 50-pound lines.

And the boat rods are either 6 1/2 or 7 feet,
and are made for 20- to 130-pound lines.

If an angler gets worn out after using these rods, that just
means that even more fish were caught! the company says.
