Z-Man's UltraCrabz

Waters are warming,
making more and more
crabs skitter around.

People are beginning
to dream about a pile of
the blueclaws steamed
with Old Bay.

How do you think fish
feel about it?

They need to eat the
chowder bugs to live.

Every species from striped bass to fluke to even a bluefish will pounce on a blueclaw crab.

So a lure that imitates one makes sense.

Z-Man, the lure maker especially known for soft plastics, has introduced a blueclaw crab.

UltraCrabz are made with Z-Man’s ElaZtech, a soft and pliable material, but up to 10 times stronger than the plastics used in other lures, the company says.

ElaZtech, used also in Z-Man's other soft-plastic lures, resists nicks and cuts, and “tears better,” the company says.

Z-Man's soft plastics boast one of the highest fish-per-bait ratios in the industry, it says.

ElaZtech is buoyant, floating off the bottom, unlike other plastics that sink.

So UltraCrabz are virtually indestructible, the company says, and the buoyancy makes them sink slowly, like a real crab.

The lures sink with the claws upward to imitate a crab’s natural defensive position.

They land upright after they’re cast.

UltraCrabz come in four colors, with a size-3/0 Z-Hook.

You're hungry for a crab dinner.

So are fish.

Blue, Pass, Ghost and Peeler.
