Tuna Luna Jigs
From Tournament Grade Tackle

“No lights, no bites,” is a well-known saying about fishing at night,
Tournament Grade Tackle says.

As mid-summer rolls around, offshore anglers are beginning to enjoy
one of their favorite types of fishing: jigging for tuna, especially at night.

Dropping the metal lures to the depths and jigging them up and down starts to become a deadly technique this time of year.

So anglers already know jigging’s effective.

They also know that attaching a light stick
to a line can draw more strikes during night or low light.

Until now, light sticks were usually only
tied onto lines either fished with bait or
on the troll.

But what if a light stick could be included
on a jig?

The Squid Jig

That could add an edge to an angler’s success.

It does! Tournament Grade Tackle says.

The company’s Tuna Luna Jigs feature a chamber to insert a light stick that’s made for the lures.

That makes the jigs extremely effective at catching tuna and other species during night
or low light, the company says.

The jigs are also built to feature lifelike profiles to nail fish during the day with the
light removed.

An upgrade is also available that features an E-Chip with a scent tube that can be used as the insert instead of the light, adding an edge to the jigs during daytime.

The Anchovetta Jig

The E-Chip is made to emit an electronic sound imitating distressed baitfish known to attract bites.

The scent tube can be filled with a
favorite fish-attracting, scented gel
for more hook-ups.

This all might make the jigs the most versatile on the market, TGT says.

The jigs come in two looks: The Squid
Style jig that imitates squid, and the Anchovetta Style jig that imitates an anchovy or a baitfish.

The jigs are 7 ounces for enough weight to fish for tuna with heavy lines, in strong currents or down deep.

But the weight is light enough to use in shallower waters for fish including striped bass, grouper and king mackerel.

Got lights ... got bites!
