Streamworks Scissor-Forceps

Every type of angling,
such as fly fishing for
trout, can be unique.

The trouting can be like
the detail of surgery.

Tiny flies on tiny lines
are drifted in just the
right way to hook up.

The fly fishing also
uses precision tools,
as surgery does.

The 5-1/2-inch scissor-forceps.

Trouters even use forceps, originally a doctor’s tool, for minute jobs
such as crimping hook-barbs or split-shots or removing hooks from fish.

They also use nippers or small scissors for cutting line or trimming flies.

Streamworks has come up with a tool that is a combo of scissors
and forceps, made especially for fishing, particularly trout fishing.

The tip provides the clamp like pliers, and the center of the jaw
features the scissors.

On the clamp, a combination of ribbed and smooth surfaces are
meant to hold large and small hooks.

The clamp locks in three positions to hold various-sized hooks or objects securely.

The scissors include
micro-serrated blades
that cleanly cut lines
from braided to mono.

The scissor-forceps
are stainless steel and come in a 5-1/2-inch
size in platinum or black.

A micro version is available that is 3 ½
inches and gold, meant
to be ideal for small
flies such as midges.

Streamworks, a company that makes a variety of fishing tools,
especially for trout angling, partly aims to produce products with innovation that creates a more enjoyable outdoor experience.

When you're working with the precision of a surgeon on tiny flies
and lines and can make the job easier by using one tool instead
of two, that's more enjoyable.
