OpenWater Ranger Backpack

The whole point of backpacking
was to enable the hiker the freedom and ease of trekking with the gear necessary for an extended trip.

Drag along the fishing arsenal
on the trip, and freedom and ease might fall by the trail side.

Unless you’ve got the OpenWater Ranger Backpack.

Built to carry both backpacking essentials and fishing tackle, the backpack features a tackle-tray system built to hold Plano’s 3700
size boxes.

OpenWater provides its own
brand of boxes: A deep one for
bigger tackle and two shallower
ones for smaller tackle.

Built with 900 Denier Ripstop, a type of nylon, the backpack is big enough to carry gear for overnight trips --
like a change of clothes and some food -- measuring 25 ½ inches tall,
17 inches wide and 10 inches deep.

It features multiple pockets, including one on each side with zippers and
one on each side below them with flaps for quicker access.

All the pack’s zippers are
corrosion resistant.

The Ranger Backpack includes molded back padding, padded shoulder straps with a sunglasses holder, and a waist belt.

A built-in rain fly can be pulled out to cover the pack in a jiffy, protecting against rains or boat spray.

Backpacking with fishing tackle just became more trail friendly.

OpenWater makes a number of fishing backpacks, hand-held bags, roller bags, luggage systems and tackle bags including for reels, jigs, lures and the surf.
