FishHead App

Tech heads use them.

Your buddy uses them.

Even school children do.

Practically everybody uses apps.

So do anglers.

An app, short for application,
is a computer program meant
to perform a specific task on electronics such as an Internet
cell phone, an IPod Touch
media player or even a TV.

The Fishhead App, from the company Nervous Water Apps,
is meant to be used for fishing
on either freshwater or saltwater.

Compatible with Apple’s IPhone and IPod Touch, the Fishhead App
provides tides, river info and weather.

The tides screen includes info such
as stage of the tide and height.

The river screen gives details such
as cubic feet per second, height
and water temperature.

The weather screen includes forecasts
for everything from air temperature
to precipitation, wind speed, barometric pressure and humidity.

Both the river and tide screens include a weather forecast for the specific location.

All three screens include moon phase,
moon rise, moon set, sunrise and sunset
for the location.

Locations are available throughout the
entire United States, and favorite locations can be stored.

Graphs showing tides and river stages
over periods of time can be called up to
help anglers visualize them.

Apps can be convenient while fishing, because the angler is already likely to be carrying a cell phone, for example.

An angler can check conditions such as tides to make decisions such as whether move to a new spot.

This app can also be used to plan a trip ahead of time, based on factors such as tides, river stages, weather forecasts and moon phases.

The Fishhead App is $6.99 and can be ordered online.
