From the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife:
Fishing is fun and a great way to enjoy the outdoors with family or friends.
If you're not sure where to start, this is your opportunity!
The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife is offering
free 2-1/2-hour classes this summer at the Pequest Trout Hatchery on four days during the week. Each class covers basic equipment, skills and safety tips, and includes trout fishing in our well-stocked pond.
Consider planning one of these dates into the vacation schedule. Bring the family or friends, and learn all you need to know to make fishing something you can enjoy for many years.
If you're an angler who already knows the joy of fishing, pass the word about the classes to someone who may be intereseted in learning how to get started.
Classes will be held August 6, 15, 21 and 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. All equipment is provided. Registration is required. Contact Pequest Trout Hatchery at 908-637-4125 for more information.
The Pequest Trout Hatchery is located 9 miles west of Hackettstown in scenic Warren County.
