From the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife on Tuesday, 4/17:
Due to flooding, and elevated stream levels, streams and lakes scheduled to be stocked on Monday, April 16, were NOT stocked. For Tuesday, April 17, lakes in Gloucester, Salem, Middlesex, Monmouth, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Ocean Counties, with the exception of Greenwich Lake, Iona Lake and Riverview Beach Pond will be stocked as scheduled.
The South Branch of the Raritan River, Pequannock River, Pompton River, Pohatcong River, Furnace Lake, Furnace Brook, and Oldham Pond originally scheduled for today, Tuesday, April 17, will NOT be stocked and will be re-scheduled. Be sure to check the Division's Web site over the next few days as the stocking schedule is revised as water levels, are being continually monitored, and as canceled stockings are re-scheduled as resources permit.
No changes to the stocking schedule are anticipated for Wednesday. Additional loads are anticipated to be added to Thursday and Friday, depending on stream conditions.
