From the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife:

The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has good news for anglers this week: landlocked salmon have been stocked for the second year and the Pequest Trout Hatchery has surplus trout to stock!

On May 17 Lake Wawayanda received 1300 salmon while another 500 salmon went to Lake Aeroflex. The fish averaged 7.2" in length. We've received reports of last year's stocking - the first by this agency - already yielding fish averaging 13-14 inches. See http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/salmon.htm for more information.

At the Pequest Trout Hatchery, staff has met the baseline production figures and began distributing surplus fish during Week 6 and will continue during Week 7. See http://www.njfishandwildlife.com//trtinfo_spr07.htm for more information. Get out and enjoy some of the best fishing anywhere!
