The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and the Atlantic States Marine Fishery's Commission's Fluke, Scup and Black Sea Bass Board on December 8 decided to increase recreational fishing's 2010 fluke total harvest to 8.59-million pounds from 7.16-million in 2009.
They also decided to shorten the sea bass and porgy seasons compared with 2009, among other changes, such as a decrease in the porgy bag limit in the EEZ.
